The Good and The Bad Exist Together

It's not all doom and gloom, this year we experience the start of the metal rat year with the global outbreaks of respiratory disease called Coronavirus. A city with 11.08 million population is in lock down, lots of people have been cancelling their flights to the affected countries during this festive holiday season. People are in fear for their health and safety. I don't know how many times people have been asked for face masks at my workplace this week, we ran out the N95 (respiratory mask) since day one after the disease went public on Monday, and our suppliers just can't provide them due to high demand in the markets.

However like the dark that can't exist without light, this year on my social media, my family and friends have been posting lots of their Chinese New Year celebration photos more than I can remember. I also received so many images of the 2020 metal rat Chinese New Year greetings.

And today the 26 January is the Australia Day, it marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British ships at Port Jackson, New South Wales, and the raising of the Flag of Great Britain at Sydney Cove by Governor Arthur Phillip.

I am proud to be a part of Australia, so thank you husband for the lovely Australian style breakfast (vegimite toast with cheese and tomato) and for the Advance Australia Fair (Australia National Anthem) this morning, what a way to start the day.

Lyrics

Australians all let us rejoice
For we are young and free
We've golden soil and wealth for toil
Our home is girt by sea
Our land abounds in nature's gifts
Of beauty rich and rare
In history's page, let every stage
Advance Australia Fair
In joyful strains then let us sing
Advance Australia Fair
Beneath our radiant Southern Cross
We'll toil with hearts and hands
To make this Commonwealth of ours
renowned of all the lands
For those who've come across the seas
We've boundless plains to share
With courage let us all combine
To Advance Australia Fair
In joyful strains then let us sing
Advance Australia Fair

Smile

How to Win Friends and Influence People Dale Carnegie It costs nothing, but creates much. It enriches those who receive, without impoverishing those who give. It happens in a flash and the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None are so rich they can get along without, and none so poor but are richer for its benefits.  It creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in a business, and is the countersign of friends. It is rest to the weary, daylight to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and Nature´s best antidote for trouble. Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is no earthly good to anybody till it is given away.  And if in the last-minute rush of Christmas buying someone should be too tired to give you a smile, maybe we can leave one of ours for them. For nobody needs a smile so much as those who have none left to  give !  give ! https://www.thesun.co.uk/living/23...

Inorganic

The Tao is infinite, eternal. Why is it eternal? It was never born; thus it can never die. Why is it infinite? It has no desires for itself; thus it is present for all beings. The Master stays behind; that is why she is ahead. She is detached from all things; that is why she is one with them. Because she has let go of herself, she is perfectly fulfilled. Entitlement

People say our young generation is entitled, it is a good topic to joke about for the stand-up comedians. Entitled is believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment. I believe this is not owned by the young generation only, every generation has it, every one of us has it to some degree. This is a problem we have in society in any age, in any countries in this world. I remember when I was a kid, at night during the hot season our house was filled with mosquitos, and dengue fever are quite common in our country.  I can't remember whether I and my sister ever whined about it but I always remember the fact that my mother often stayed up late holding the insects killer racket just to defended us from the mosquitoes. However, My entitlement behaviour took the bad on me, I thought she ought to do that one because she is our mother, it's her duties to protect us. I did not really care how many hours she has spent at our room every night, or whethe...
