And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said.
Exodus 7:13 KJV
God is really the only director in our life, what we have, what we thought, everything that happens to us was allowed to happen by God. Our choices in life have been directed by Him, He knew us before us. This is also highlighted by the scripture below
But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Matthew 6:7-8 KJV
Our Father prayer is the first prayer that stuck in my head when I was a kid and the first prayer that I memorised when I was learning English on the fourth grade, and it is the only prayer that I can recite when I moved to Australia. At church, my favourite section of the mass is the part when the pilgrims sing the "Our Father", I have a slight dash sometimes when the Catholic Priests lead us to speak it rather than sing it.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom comes, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
This is the Lord's prayer which Jesus has taught us the way to pray in the Gospels Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4. I love every word of the prayer, especially the second sentence "Thy kingdom comes, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven". One thing I have difficulty to let go is me being in control of myself, I always at all time try to be in control of myself, I don't want any regret in life, I dislike failures and mistakes. I still learning on how to be secure all the time, to not worry about the future, to surrender to His will and teaching, and to listen to my heart more.
Seek the Kingdom of God first, so let all of us live in the "Now" since tomorrow will worry about itself, and the past has been done, embrace all the things that come above and below our expectations.
