Uncertainties

Life is full of uncertainties, deal with it!

When I was studying economics, I was taught that human behaviour is more predictable than we think. Fair dinkum indeed!!!

Today highlights are:
  • God loves us
  • The Covid-19 outbreak outside China is deepening, more and more countries reporting their first cases and the death toll in the USA has jumped to 9 people
  • The Fed cut their rates by 0.5% today and Australia also decreases their cash rate earlier this month to 0.5%
  • The market panic, many investors pulled out their investments, stock prices plunges to the record low since World War 2
  • The global recession just lurking around the corner
  • People are in panic mode and start stocking up on many items such as ready and long-life F&B, the Australian has piled up on toilet papers from the supermarket shelves
  • Many countries experienced shortages in materials due to their dependency on China
In these challenging times, we should let go of our ego, we should living in the now rather than the past or the future. We should believe that God has a bigger plan for all of us and surrender ourselves to God by doing the best we can now for us and the people.

Blessed is the man who patient under trial and stands up under temptation, for when he has stood the test and been approved, he will receive the crown of life which God has promised to those who love Him - James 1:12

Smile

How to Win Friends and Influence People Dale Carnegie It costs nothing, but creates much. It enriches those who receive, without impoverishing those who give. It happens in a flash and the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None are so rich they can get along without, and none so poor but are richer for its benefits.  It creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in a business, and is the countersign of friends. It is rest to the weary, daylight to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and Nature´s best antidote for trouble. Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is no earthly good to anybody till it is given away.  And if in the last-minute rush of Christmas buying someone should be too tired to give you a smile, maybe we can leave one of ours for them. For nobody needs a smile so much as those who have none left to  give !  give ! https://www.thesun.co.uk/living/23...

Entitlement

People say our young generation is entitled, it is a good topic to joke about for the stand-up comedians. Entitled is believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment. I believe this is not owned by the young generation only, every generation has it, every one of us has it to some degree. This is a problem we have in society in any age, in any countries in this world. I remember when I was a kid, at night during the hot season our house was filled with mosquitos, and dengue fever are quite common in our country.  I can't remember whether I and my sister ever whined about it but I always remember the fact that my mother often stayed up late holding the insects killer racket just to defended us from the mosquitoes. However, My entitlement behaviour took the bad on me, I thought she ought to do that one because she is our mother, it's her duties to protect us. I did not really care how many hours she has spent at our room every night, or whethe...

Addiction

Addiction is the fact or condition of being addicted to a particular substance or activity. Addiction usually start with pain and end with pain. People will turn to addiction as an escape from their 'hard to deal with' current circumstances. Addiction have negative connotation but in my opinion addiction can be good and bad. But anything that not being done in moderation tends to bring more harm and good.  However, the dichotomy of bad and good, can we really be able to distinguish them? In my own opinion again there is no such things as true good and true bad, all good and all bad. It all depends on our own perceptions and our current states when it's happen. What is good now might not be good again tomorrow, the thing that is good now was not good yesterday. If we are battling with any addiction today, let's all of us be kind to ourselves. We should all acknowledge our addictions and bring them to the lights, but we shouldn't condemn them. We are what we are now b...
