"Lucky"

Good day, today is the first of May 2020.
So many disruptions and calamities has happened in the first almost half a year of 2020.

The viral one in 2020 is Covid-19. The world, the news outlets and social media are heavily filled by Covid-19 all day all night. By now, Covid-19 has appeared in 212 countries and territories, 3,323,935 cases and 234,417 deaths worldwide. The current death rate is 7%, and worldwide lockdowns, restrictions, businesses collapses, increase of criminal activities, litigations, disputes and societies chaos.

In my perspective, someone has to be quite "lucky" to catch the Covid-19. The current population according to the worldometer website is 7,781,486,601. The current chance of someone catching the virus 0.000427159381 or 0.04%. The Covid-19 cases in Australia to this date is 6,765 compared to Australia population of 25,451,095, the rate of a person to get the Coronavirus is 0.000254016606 or 0.02%. Although the cases rate is low globally, the people who "luckily" got affected by the prevention of Covid-19 is 7.7 billion people almost 100% of the world population.

However, the chance of someone got the Covid-19 is still higher than the probability of someone winning the first prize in the lottery. The odd of someone winning division one in a Saturday lotto for A$ 4 million is 0.00001% the highest one among other lotto games. And someone must be extremely lucky to win Powerball with the probability rate of 0,000001%.

Tiny But Big

The biggest and most captivating smile that I have ever received is in 2004, when I was doing a charity work to the marginal people who live in the landfill of the wealthiest people in the country. The warmest hug that I have ever received from a stranger is in 2018 from the homeless man who stop and asked me if I have a spare change which I did not have. Despite the fact that I had nothing to give him, he gave me a hug that I can't forget, the hug that come unexpected yet so beautiful. God usually pack a lot of power and strength into tiny little packages, in the most humble way.
