Mean what you think or speak, otherwise it will create a dissonance. Cognitive dissonance bring discomfort, anxiety, and it can be damaging. However, it's in some degree good for the mental health, as long as you deal with it. Deal with the root, not just the symptom. Do not patch it up or bury it with the scriptures nor the entertainments.
I love God but not really the religion, lets spread the love without being boxed by religions, social economic status, politics, geography, ethnicity, and anything that divide us as brother and sister. People often hide behind religion and make themselves looks good or feels good, we also condone or condemn people and ourselves with religion.
We need to go beyond whatever we feel, we need to pursue the essences in our life and do each other with loving kindness. In order to pursue those, we need to think and have discipline. Let's bring out our humanity and build up the good habits.
Religion and technology can numb our way of think. We need to think deep critically and actively, and use our abilities to bring the toxic things out into surface, enlightened it, weaken it, and be better.
